Trip Plan
This great trip will include the visit of 3 of the main and most biodiverse areas of Ecuador. First, the Tropical Andes and Choco Andino; with its wonderful Western Cloud Forests, Lowlands and Paramo, they will host us for 4 nights between a great diversity of herpetofauna, birds and insects.
The beautiful Eastern Cloud Forest will be our second destination. For a couple of days, we will enjoy its great wildlife.
The third area to visit will be the Ecuadorian Amazon, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. Here, many species of amphibians, reptiles and arthropods will be our main focus. We will remain for 3 nights photographing among its jungles.
Finally, we will return to Quito ending this great photographic experience.
This tour begins and ends in the city of Quito, hosting us for the arrival and departure day.

Tour Specifics
It is a trip for photographers and herping lovers, with moderate walks.
The tour will be in rainy season, with bilingual guides: English/Spanish.
There is internet access and laundry service in most of the lodges and the electricity works at 110 volts.
Other information
It is advisable to purchase a travel insurance and consult to your doctor for vaccinations (yellow fever, tetanus, and hepatitis).
All amounts are in US dollars and per person.

Suggested equipment
A digital SLR camera with a macro lens preferably with an aperture f/2.8.
A telephoto lens 400mm or more.
A sturdy tripod + ball head tripod.
External flash (triggers), and a good diffuser or a light plastic softbox.
Waterproof headlamp.
Enough batteries and memory cards.
Suggested clothes
It is recommended to bring
camera backpack with rain cover.
Lightweight breathable long pants and long sleeve shirts.
Camouflage jacket.
Rain poncho and rubber boots.
Waterproof hiking shoes.
Sunblock and insect repellent.
