Travel Plan

The adventure begins in the western part of the tropical Andes, here we will have the opportunity to observe a great variety of hummingbirds and tanagers. This Bioregion is characterized by housing a great diversity of birds. Species such as the Umbrella Bird, Gallo de la Peña, Trogones, and Toucans, join the list of incredible birds that we can find in this great ecosystem. On this side of the Andes we will stay for a total of 4 days before crossing the mountain range to the eastern foothills, where we will briefly explore its enchanting forests full of new but equally beautiful birds.

Our second scenario will be the high Amazonia, a place characterized by a high diversity of Passerine bird species. Here we can observe a wide variety of tanagers, hummingbirds, along with other groups of birds not so common but very special as are the cotingas and birds of prey. We will stay here for a couple of nights while we will be fascinated by its dense forests.

The Paramo and its avifauna will represent our third destination. We will immerse ourselves in these cold lands in search of the most representative species. We hope to have an excellent weather to be able to observe volcanoes like the Antisana. You will also have the opportunity to observe a variety of birds of prey, Andean, aquatic birds and hummingbirds.

On our last day we will take a tour of the historic center of Quito, in addition to doing some shopping in the craft market and finally we will go to the airport where this trip will end.
